“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. No, don’t be afraid. I will continue to take care of you and your children.’ So he reassured them by speaking kindly to them.” Genesis 50:20-21
These verses depicts how mature Joseph’s journey has made him. I know some people who read verse 20 and think Joseph was being petty, but the surrounding verses exposes his heart.
Joseph went through one extreme situation after the next (starting from the age of 17), up until his promotion at the age of 30. What looked like the end of a dream (or promise) was used as the preparation for the dream.
Use this story as a reminder that even when people try to do you harm, God can turn it all around for your benefit. God will use the trials to mold you. This is how you are prepared for your promised land.
During your journey, you will learn to forgive. Unforgiveness makes your journey longer than it needs to be. Release the petty spirit, so you can fully function and operate in the place you’re intended to dominate and reform for the Kingdom of God.
