I called on a few of the Christian guys I knew and asked what their top 3 deal breakers were as far as relationships. Here’s a compilation of their answers.

*Single ladies…take notes!

A girl who is too much into herself and doesn’t think of others.

“Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.” Romans 12:3

A girl who is very materialistic. One who is all about designer labelled jewelry, clothing, shoes, purses, etc…

“Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes.  You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” 1 Peter 3:4-5

A girl who is very clingy, showing signs of insecurity and lack of trust.

A girl who is disrespectful.

A girl who is desperate for attention.

A girl who smokes.

A girl who is not self-motivated nor ambitious. *This can put a lot of strain on a relationship.

“A girl who doesn’t have a dream lacks excitement!” C.A.

“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.”  Romans 12:11

“She is not the target, she is the arrow. I am the bow that bends to what God is calling me and my wife to do, and when we are together, the bow and the arrow work together to hit the target that God has assigned for us to hit, as a team, submitted to his will for our relationship.” S.D.

A girl who is all about PDA (public displays of affection).

A girl who has unrealistic expectations.

“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.  For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.” Matthew 7:1-2

A girl with a victim mentality.

“The problem that we have with a victim mentality is that we forget to see the blessings of the day. Because of this, our spirit is poisoned instead of nourished.” Steve Maraboli

A girl who is promiscuous.

“God wants you to be holy. He wants you to stay away from sexual sins. God wants each one of you to learn to control your own body. Use your body in a way that is holy and that gives honor to God. Don’t let your sexual desires control you like the people who don’t know God. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5

A girl who doesn’t know what she wants.

“Say what you mean and mean what you say.” C.A.

A girl who is too religious…too deep for her own good.

A girl who is a complete hypocrite.

“Why do you notice the small piece of dust that is in your friend’s eye, but you don’t notice the big piece of wood that is in your own?  Why do you say to your friend, ‘Let me take that piece of dust out of your eye’? Look at yourself first! You still have that big piece of wood in your own eye.  You are a hypocrite! First, take the wood out of your own eye. Then you will see clearly to get the dust out of your friend’s eye.” Matthew 7:3-5

A girl who lies.

“The Lord hates people who tell lies, but he is pleased with those who tell the truth.” Proverbs 12:22
